How to flip an axle on a trailer - UP-Up We Go!

Before we went to Florida over two months ago
and started our life living in a pop-up camper.
I flipped the axle so I could go over speed bump (or any other type of
bump) without dragging the bumper on the camper.  Since the camper is under 3,000 pounds and
has a straight axle (no camber) I was able to flip it without a conversion
kit.  Yes…I used a lot of WD-40 but that
is all I had.  In this video I show how I
flipped the axle.

Is the drinking water SAFE?

We have been living in a pop-up camper for over two months
and we have come to realize one important thing.  The drinking water at the campsites at
National Forest, Army Corps of Engineers, and Conservation areas may not be
safe to drink.  I even struggle at the
thought of taking a shower with some of it.
Since these are not hookup site I had to come up with a way to filter
it.  I show you in this video.

Beer cost more than that! How we only spent $2 a day on food?

We have been living in a pop-up for over two months.  Last month when I post our first month
budget, a lot of you asked how it was possible that we only spent $2 a day on
food per person.  One person even said
“bear cost more than that”.  So you don’t
think we are crazy, I thought it would be a good idea to try to explain our
eating and shopping habits in this video.

How to downsize to live in a pop-up CAMPER.

We have been living in our pop-up camper for just over two
months and during that time we had to make some serious adjustments to the way
we think about living.  One of the things
we had to do is downsize our stuff.  All
our stuff had to fit in a pop-up camper.
It was a lot harder than we thought it was going to be.  But we figured out a method that made it
easier.  Hope it helps you too.

The MOSQUITOES WILL CARRY YOU AWAY at Gram Cave State Park

We have been full time living in our pop-up camper for two
months and normally we don’t stay at a paid site, so we violated our rules and
stopped at one (actually two).  We also
got to visit with my mother before we went to Mississippi.  This was a nice change in routing. Gram Cave
state park is near New Florence, Mo off highway 70.  Here is a video of it.

Are we Crazy LIVING IN A POP-UP CAMPER - revisited

We have lived in our pop-up camper for over two months and have experienced
things that many of you thought would be a problem and have asked how we handle
them.  We have live through a tornado,
torrential rains and flooding in Missouri, and below freezing temperature.  So, to answer the looming question “are we
crazy living in a pop-up camper”…I try to explain in this video.

less is MORE!

We full time live in our pop-up camper and get hundreds of questions a day
about our experience.  One of the
questions that are asked a lot is “how hard was it to get rid of our
stuff”.   I learned that less is more. So, in this
video, I try to explain how we handled downsizing by using the Less is More
concept while I held back the tears.  It
certainly is more sunsets.

Stranded in Missouri in our POP-UP CAMPER by the 2017 FLOOD!

Sometimes things do not go as planned
when you live in a pop-up camper.  We
planned on being on the road today heading to Mississippi but Mother Nature had
different plans.  As I am sure you know,
Missouri is FLOODED and we are stranded.
In today’s video, I showed the flooded areas around us.   Thanks for watching

How do I find FREE drinking water.

Cheryl C. asked “how do we find drinking
water since we live in a pop-up camper” Since we do not go to hook-up sites (as
that would cost a fortune) we have to find water elsewhere,  Some of the locations we stay at are very
remote and not conveniently located close to a dump station.  That means we have to find other methods to
obtain drinking water and the answer may surprise you.  Hope the video is informative…sorry about the
sound, I am making improvements to make it better next time.  https://youtu.be/PDjeutDvIz8?list=PLUNeyx3ng7VYsAa2-fWCfz10M748P-c_2
